Peking University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) provides pharmaceutical sciences (six-year) programs currently, with 516 six-year (undergraduate-master) program students. SPS owns 3 National Key Disciplines, namely, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmacology. Pharmaceutical Sciences has been approved as a national key primary discipline, offering postdoctoral training program and “pharmaceutical sciences” doctoral programs. All the secondary disciplines could enroll doctoral students. Now SPS has 7 master/doctoral degree granting units, including Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Chemical Biology, and Clinical Pharmacy, with a total enrollment of 321 doctoral students, 302 master students, and 20 in-service training graduate students. SPS also provides continuing education and training of practitioner to meet the social demands for pharmaceutical talent in different levels.
